The Clover Closet

The Clover Closet is a 4H fundraiser I piloted early this summer. I 'tested' a fun apron called a church lady apron by Mary Mulari to see if it might be a good seller. I made nine and I sold nine, so I'd say the aprons were a success. Customers not only liked the design, but the fact that the 100% cotton aprons are reversible--they got two for the price of one! I also offered the 11x18 travel pillows featured on my home page. I brought ten to the market and I left with none. Another success!

The Church Lady apron (pictured above) was so popular, I'm offering the first of my fall collection. They are being shown at the One-Way Cafe and Gallery in Wauwatosa, WI. One can be yours for a $20.00 donation to 4H. I'll ship, too. (Contact me for shipping and handling costs).

The Brown and Herb Green Collection:

The Purple/Lavendar Sunset collection is in the works, and the Golden Autumn collection will follow. Keep checking!

I am starting the Grandma's Hankies half-apron collection and one is also featured at the One-Way Cafe.  Each is made from 100% pre-shrunk cotton and  is gently lined for body. A lovely piece of vintage hanky graces each pocket--a memory of grandma:

And here are the results of  a Christmas gift order for the Grandma's Hankies apron. I can't thank my volunteers enough:

My plan is to get enough 'Closet' projects donated by 4H members, family members, and friends of 4H, so that we may set up shop at local farmers' markets and other venues early spring of 2011. Not only will we show off the talents of those who are involved with 4H, but we can promote the program as well.
